Good day Friends,

Here an update whats happening on the layout.

Whilst the glue is setting on the right hand side I decided to try install the catenary on the left hand side.

Fortunately a good friend reminded me to buy isolators for the installation. Well they did not fit!

Until I put on my jewelers magnifying "hat" I noticed the absence of a hole.

Drilled the holes with a 0,80mm drill bit and with a bit of filing on the catenary wire the isolator slipped on. 

Yes, I did not drill in to my finger this time,

I found it. Here the picture showing the progress with regard the catenary.

The wires in the bridge will be assembled today.

The ends need to be trimmed to length and then to be turned into a loop.

The wires (Viessmann) are hardened and I make the loops very carefully.

Jörg, here the first test of the pliers tested on a piece of copper wire. 

The first Viessmann wires using the pliers worked well.

Good day dear friends, I was reminded that I hav'nt given any feedback lately. We were sidetracked and I finally have the Ver 1.0 switchboard attached to the layout.

Hi guys,

Just a quick comment regarding the switchboard, that there is a Ver 2.0 switchboard that will look similar to the one that was in Rooiels.

So the weekend a lot was done on the layout and herewith the pics below.

With the exception of the catenary the left hand side of the layout is almost complete.

We did the plan of the proposed farm to be installed this week.

So below the pics show the area where the farm will be and the second picture is the actual plan designed on the dining room table.

The boundary fence droppers have been planted, trimmed and painted and the next step will be "planting" the grass.
