Yea, I also enjoy it. And if you have all the correct tools it is so much better.

I have to say, I enjoy all the aspects of model train building. The only thing I do not like is the electrical work. Think it is only because my knowledge is not to great on that subject. And the lack of self confidence.

WHooooHoooooo...... Little bit further again 

Legs is built and painted. Frame is built and I placed it in position over the weekend.
Now it must just be lifted about 50mm to align with the current layout (it needs to be about 40mm, 2x layers of 20mm styrofoam, lower). Then it is time for the Styrofoam base and then the track.

Can't wait.....

Good Morning All,

I got to level out the layout and I'm quite impressed that the two layouts match perfectly So to lay the track across them will be easy.
Then last night I finally managed to glue the Styrofoam on to the wooden frame.

Now I can start to layout the track  Can't wait.....

Good Morning All 

I took out all my track and a few other parts and I started to play last night.
I managed to do all the fishplates for the points and I attached some of the track. I'll finish the back end of the staging yard tonight.

I have also roughly measure out where the track will be on the layout.

Next step is to cut a section of styrofoam, where the track will be mounted on and that will be glued in position on the layout.

Good Morning All.

So, more building this weekend. Got some time in between baby sitting, doing stuff around the house and just generally life.
Layed almost all the track (just pinned on the the foam for now) started with the track from the turntable to the round house. Will hopefully finish that tonight.

I also wired the turntable to power, just to see if it works. Very cool and works awesome

Oh and Steve, I have tried to implement your suggestion, works well. I'll finish the staging area still.
