Hi guys,
weekend update.
Just did a few small detail things, but very pleased with the result.
First up the pre signal warning boards.
One the German railways before the main block signal is a pre signal to warn the engine driver of what to expect
at the actual block signal. Also sometimes called a distant signal.
Before these pre signals are three white boards with black stripes, starting with three stripes, then two and last one.
I made these myself.
Now of course I can no ways use the correct spacing between these so had to compress everything.
Normally the pre signal is 1000 meters ahead of the block signal and the warning boards are 100 meters and then twice 75 meters
in front of the pre signal.
So i settled on 2 meters from pre signal to block signal and once 750 mm and then twice 650 mm.
I'm happy with the result.

Then I also carefully applied some wood glue to the tops of the grass and then
applied some yellow scatter material and very little red to this.
The result looks like small flowers or weeds.
The signal in the picture also received some rust paint to age it a bit.

Awesome Jörg,

It is the small detail that make all the difference. I really like what you have achieve.

Cheers,

Hi,

no work on the layout this weekend, but I did get the Rheingold out of the lower staging yard which
is not connected to the currently running part of the layout.
Then I enjoyed watching three passenger trains running for a while.
Just a few selected photos.

Stunning! I've always loved those locomotives - especially the 005 002... :thumb:

Now, a lot of people miss this part of our hobby. I don't and do that so well. Love it. :thumb: :thumb:

Aloha,
not much has happened here in the last weeks.
Got some material and all the servo's as well as decoders for the points for this station side.
Also looking at fitting sound to another loco, a Roco BR 01 oil burner, quite tricky to dismantle
and will have to order a 8 pin decoder for this one. Only have a 21 pin left, so have to decide which loco
that will go into.
Ordered some Weinert parts, including a kit, in Germany, those are now waiting at the shop there, maybe I'll add some
more stuff to the parcel.  >:D
Details will follow. :)

Good idea to bundle stuff together - saves on shipping but screws with the CC.
