Aloha,
been very quiet here.  :(
Well I have done lots of woodwork for the layout in the last few weeks, but don't get exited.
No bench work.
I did finally build the four panel sliding door that I wanted to build since I started this layout.
Last panel went in this morning.  :thumb:
First photo checking to see if everything fits, still only the frames in the lower guide rail.
Second photo this morning with the layout room lights on so that it shines through the milky white perspex
panels.
Wife is also happy.  :thumb:

Yea, it's been really quiet here. I have not touch a train in the past 2 months, but it will be OK  :biggrin:

Hi everybody,
I clicked on reply to this topic and got a warning because the thread had been inactive for so long.
From May to November.  :'(
Well I can't let Big Ed be the only one with an active thread here so I had to revive this one.
What has happened?
I went out to buy the ply wood for the station as well as the cork.
Plywood was delivered today.
Circular saw was ready.  ;D
Plywood stored in the kitchen.  :biggrin:
Only place I have at the moment.
First piece has been cut and fitted, but not leveled yet. Still has to be removed again, must mark out a few cuts.

Hi everybody,
small update for Sunday.
That piece of plywood shown in the last picture has seen some more work.
Marked out track line, cut line and more.
Picture one.
Took my router and trimmed one section down so I can have a smooth joint to the previous
thinner plywood ramp.

Done,
glued, screwed, gaps filled and sanded.
Track just loose on the boards.
Picture one.
Made up and fitted a cross brace with a cut out to get a 2% gradient
coming into the station.

Next step I got the plywood sheet out of the garage that I had cut
more that a year ago for the other side station entrance.
Mounted it temporarily.
Just to get a feel for how everything will fit together in the end.
Will be cutting this out of the new thicker plywood as well.
Once this done and fitted at the correct level I will work out the center piece
and finish the fascia around the layout.
