Good Morning All,
It was a good weekend
I manage to do quite a bit so that is even better.
Friday evening I fitted the interior of my goods station. Picture either side and I mounted a small crane and some crates and drums between them in front of the doors.
Picture 01 shows that.
Picture 02 - I mixed some creatstone and made it quite thin so that it will self level (I tapped the side of the layout and the vibrations made it nice and smooth)
Because it was such a thin layer I mixed in some Wood glue as I am afraid it might crack.
Then once it was almost dry I used the edge of my steel ruler to press lines in to represent the breaks for the concrete slabs. (Like the concrete roads used to be.)
I also lightly sanded it to give it some texture.
Picture 03 - I mixed some grey paint and gave the creatstone two coats. (should have mixed it into the creatstone, but it worked just as good)
Then I took very watery dark brown stain and painted it over and all the marks and scoring lines showed up nicely.
Then with dry-brushing I went over it again with the same grey paint to change the colour back to be more grey.
Picture 04 & 05 - Added some grass and bushes.
I think it is a very nice scene. I like it. I will still add some trees and one or two guys on the balcony of the signal tower.
Also a truck or two at the goods station. Trees I still have to buy, so this is it for now.
Let me know what you guys think.
Thank you and enjoy the day and week.
Cheers,
Evert
