Good Morning All,

Here is a small video I took last night.
Not the greatest, but you will get the idea.

Cheers,

Good Morning All,

Manage to get some work done on my layout again  :thumb:

Pic 01-03 Fitted the lights into the Signal tower and placed it on the layout, not final fit yet.
Pic 04, I finally glued the goods track down and fitted the buffer and LED.

Then I also fitted the point motors so I can now complete that scene

Last picture - need some help.... what do you guys think about the placement and angle of the signal tower?

Thank you, Regards,
Evert

Hi Evert,
placement is good, angle you can maybe play a bit and see what looks better to you.
One point I want to make is that the lights in a signal tower are very dim, so that the staff
can look out easily at night to check signal and point positions.
Very often the only lights in the signal tower are the lights on the display panels.

Placement looks fine. But Jorg mentioned something new (and logic) to me...
For long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be

OK Cool, I'll dimm the light on the top even more. The ones in the tower I'll leave as is.

Thank you very much.  :thumb:

Hi Evert, I just thought about your signal tower placement. It will never be right above a turnout as the staff must be able to see the turnout.

Mmmmmm, thank you Jörg, never thought about that. I'll have to move it slightly back away from the yard then.

Cheers.

I had a look last night at moving the Signal Tower :( Not going to happen :(

Can not go closer to the Yard as the space of the track become to wide for the tower post.
Moving it further away also not working. There is another point just before the one under the Tower and the road leading from the Town is right next to the point.
So this is how it will be.
As for the angle, I'll center it nicely between the track.

After all, it is all fantasy and in my head

Cool, I'll send some updates after the weekend again.  :thumb:

Enjoy, Cheers,
Evert Loo

Well, it is YOUR layout after all and like you said, fantasy after all.

Go for it then... :thumb:

Good Morning All,

So I finished the goods track last week, so I decided to start building my Goods Station.

Long time ago, think about 2 years, I bought this Faller Kit, and it just amazes me again at the quality.
This one is pre-weathered also.

The one side of the track is curved, so I had to modify the base of the Kit as well as the Loading\un-loading platform.
I have also built an extension to the platform, I have the space, so why not.

Here are some pictures.
Pic 01 is the Kit in the box
Pic 02 is the base
Pic 02 is one of the walls with the window frames fitted
Pic 04 is the extended platform. I built it from cardboard and I scribed some lined on to represent concrete slabs. I'll paint it tonight.
Pic 05 is overview of the position.

Regards,
Evert Loo
