Good Morning All

I had some nice time this weekend and got lots done.
I soldered and fitted the lights into the factory and I also fitted the factory to the layout.

Decided to siff some sand to get it really fine and used that for walkways and roads. Lots still to do, but next I have to get the point motors to work nicely.

Here is some pictures  :thumb:
1st is while I'm busy doing the grass and finishes.
2nd - 4th is just nice.....
5th is with the lights on. I think it looks quite good, I like it.....
Enjoy.

Hope you all have a great week.
Cheers,
Evert.

Yes definitely  :thumb:
I'm going to fit these ones from WoodlandScenics, but I still have to buy them.

Those look fantastic, can't wait to see a night time shot of the layout.

Good Morning All,

So I finally took the trestle bridge out that I built.
Ai, I should have taken it out while the cretestone was still soft and not 1 year later  ??? But, what is done is done....
So I manage to get it out  :thumb: I then painted everything and did all the base work. Painting and grass.
Picture 1 is where the bridge is fitted back.

Then I also started with the track. I wanted to move all the sleepers together, saw this on quite a few pictures, so I thought it is a bit more prototypical.
I started to cut away all the plastic bits in between the sleepers.
Picture 2 and 3 - top and bottom.

Took quite a while doing this, but I think it look quite nice.
Then I cut the track to length and fitted and soldered the points in.
I still have to finish the track off, 2 sections to fit still, then I'll connect it to the existing piece that come out of the tunnel.

Then I can start to work on the Sawmill again

Cheers, speak again and enjoy the pictures.

I like the detail of the sleepers being closer together on the bridge, are you going to install
guard rails as well?

Jip, I'll do the guard rails before I fit the track to the layout. I fitted guard rails to the bridges on the section I take to shows also, but did not do the close sleepers. I might just lift the rails to change that.....  :innocent:

Good morning All,

Small update.
Last night I finished the track and I installed the Rail Guards

Next I have to make boxes for the fitment of the point motors. Then once that is installed I can permanently fit the track.

Cheers,
Evert
