Good Morning All,

Yea, I know, it's been a very long time, but everything is starting to get better and more organised now.
As some of you know we bought a house so it was lots of work to get the place sorted out. Painting, fixing of things and I took all the carpets out and fitted Laminate floors. Wife wanted a cupboard in the bathroom, so that is something I also built. But work never stop at the house, so in between I managed to do my trains  :thumb:

I painted out the garage, re-aligned the door and fitted locks. Next I still have to put in a ceiling and seal up the door, but I still want to be able to open and close it. So there is still lots of work.
But my trains is there

Here is some pictures. nothing great, but it is step in the right direction. All in good time.
I also added the connecting track, just to see if it will work and I painted the bench work of the layout to match the rest.

Cheers.

Impressive, although it seems clean and organized enough to be used as a surgery !

A very nice work space, but get ceiling and dust proofing up as quick as you can, as it can be a real PITA in a layout room.

Awesome,  :thumb:
Agree on getting that ceiling up asap.
What are you going to use for the ceiling?

Hi,

The Garage have a flat roof, so my idea is to stain the rafters dark and then use Styrofoam sheets as ceiling boards in between and finish it off with a quarter round also white.
That should sort the dust out and also help for insulation.

Cheers,
Evert

Hi Evert,

I would think going the route of putting up polystrene sheets between the rafters as insulation, and then putting up ceiling boards fastened to the rafters would give you the best insulation and dust protection.

But then I am opinionated ..............

Steve

Evert, give Isoboard a try.
They are in Brackenfell.
Very easy to install, they even have youtube video's on how to for D.I.Y.
The bonus is the offcuts you can use for scenery on your layout.  :thumb:

Good Morning All,

Thank you Jörg, I know about IsoBoard  :thumb: and they deliver  :thumb:
Going to cost a bit so it will still happen, but it will be soon.

But, in the mean time.....
I have built the Peco Track Bumper/Stops and fitted my last two 1mm LED's on them.
Also painted them a bit.

Think it looks good.
Will fit them tonight on the layout.

Cheers.

Nice work  :thumb:

And here I though I was the only one silly enough to play with small LEDs

Good Morning All,

I need some honest help and opinions here.
I bought this Pola Stone Quarry from Ed a few weeks ago. What a awesome kit, stunning detail.  :thumb:

Now I thought of a place to add it to my layout  ???

I think this might just work? I can add one extra point for the branch in front of the building at the shoots.
I'm basically going to build the setup exactly as on the picture on the box.
The grey piece on the layout is the base of the building.

Thank you very much.
Regards,
Evert Loo

Hi Evert,
my honest opinion, no.
That will start to overfill your layout.
By all means ad the switch to be able to add another extension in the future seeing that you have a house now and some space.  :thumb:
Quarry tend to be big so if you plan a separate extension you have the opportunity for a lot of scenery and rock modelling.
Also a nice loading facility with a few tracks.
Think about it.
Regards Jörg.

P.S. I hope you paid the price marked on the box.  :peep:

LOL @ Ed

Thank you Jörg..... You are 100% correct.

If I try to squeeze it in there then it will not look good and my original idea was to build a small harbor town with some nice switching capabilities and a float with 2 rails to carry box cars across the canal to the mainland

So I will stick to that idea and rather carry on as planned.

Cheers,
Evert
