Depending on what you read,  Faller Glue can last anything from 2 years to 15 years (probably depends on storage and what not).  Take this with a large pinch of ballast as we all know the internet isnt  always accurate. :stir:

One bottle of glue I have for gluing acrylic plastics has a shelf life of about 4 months.  Seemingly its similar in nature to the Faller glue as it also "melts" the plastic to make the joint.  Since four months hasn't past yet I'm not sure as to the accuracy of the claimed shelf life.

HTH,

Niel

I've got some "melting" glue going back 10 years old (the last time I built a kit :innocent:)

As long as you keep it tightly closed so it doesn't evaporate you should be ok...

Hi,

I use the REVELL CONTACTA PRO MODELLING GLUE 12.5GM.
It also melts the two plastic parts together.

The bottle I have is possibly 10 years old already and not even half. Still works 100%  :thumb:

Cheers,

Thanks guys! I'll let you know over the weekend if the glue "melted" or not.  :-\
We are going to build a Swiss station for the upper mountain level.

Good Morning All,

The Walthers Saw Mill kit is pretty much finished so I decided to place it on my layout and see how it will fit......

Wow..... BIIIIIG building  ??? Little bit of a problem, but I think it might just work.
The Mail line goes over the trestle bridge and after the bridge I have two points.
One creates a run around track and the other one a siding\branch at the back of the sawmill for the delivery of trees.

Last night I build a base for the building and I started to do the landscaping.
Think it can work well.

Next step I will first finish the landscaping by the bridge so that I can lay the track.

Here is some pictures. Last picture is a overview of the hole extension layout as it looks now.
Enjoy, Cheers,
Evert

Good Morning all.

I have been working a little bit on my layout as well.
Finished the base landscaping work around the sawmill and added some rocks around the river as well as the trestle bridge.

Pictures is not that great, as lots of the detail is getting lost. I'll paint the rocks and post some more then.

Cheers,
LooVille

Good Morning All,

Did not get much chance over the weekend to work on my Layout, but I did manage to paint the rocks  :thumb:
So here is a few pictures of how they turned out. I'm quite happy.

Enjoy,

Well done, you worked that trestle very nicely into the scenery.
What layout is that standing on its side in the background?
Is that Looville version 2? ;)
