Good Morning All,

I was playing nicely over the weekend again
I sprayed the floor of the roundhouse and then filled in all the uneven parts again. Will spray and finish that during the week.
I also added the incline part behind the round house. Woodland Scenics 2% incline.
Then over the past week or so I was also busy making rocks again.
Last night I took a few out and casted the big one.

Enjoy the pictures and speak again soon  :thumb:
Cheers.

I can see that you had an enjoyable weekend.  :thumb:
How much detail are you going to put into the roundhouse?
Cheers.

The idea is to put in a few work men and have a few benches and random stuff in there. It all depends on the kind of detail I can find and make.
Because it is so small and the view is limited I will keep it close to the entrance doors.
I will put a few lights ons the inside also, so that will help with the seeing of the detail.

Cheers, and thank you for all the comments and following of my progress.

Hi Evert,
why I ask about the interior detailing, I once saw photo's in Model Railroader where the builder fully detailed the interior and then instead of fitting the normal roof to the round house he made a custom roof from clear Perspex.
Okay his round house was something like a 30 stall one and filled with brass Loco's, but he said I spend so much money and effort on these loco's, why must I hide them away.
Just a thought, more work for you.  >:D
Cheers.

That sounds awesome, but I'm not going to go into all that detail
I have seen lots of pictures where the modellers really go way out on the bigger scales.

Good Morning All.....

Just a small update ....
You know your wife supports your hobby when you get kits for Christmas  I got this bridge and a sand house.
Busy building the bridge that will go on the side of the layout just behind the roundhouse.
Sides is built and connection pieces are in. Tonight I'll start to paint and weather a bit and then I can finish it.

Once it is done I can fit it and finish that section of track. Then it is mountain building again  :thumb:

Cheers

Good Morning All,

Got quite a bit done over the weekend again  :thumb:
I fitted the bridge, so I could finish the track on that section.
Then I also did all the foam work for the mountain.
I will not have any power-feeds inside the mountain and there is no track joins, so I can build it with out any problems.
I have also casted enough rocks to create a nice looking "cliff" so the next step is to cover the foam with my home made plaster cloth  :)

Here is some pictures, enjoy.....
Cheers, and have a good day all....

LOL  what??? Is it hot???
Yea, that garage of mine is extreme  :( :( I sit quietly and I can feel myself melting, but I want to play so I have to deal with the heat.

The heat has one advantage, the glue and paint dries quickly.
But yes its been a bit unpleasantly hot, make sure you have lots to drink.

Good Morning All.....  ;D

Last night is was a bit cooler or at least a bit more bearable in the garage  :)
Next step for the mountain is also complete... I finished all the foam work and then the past two days I covered it with my home made plaster cloth. (crete stone and bandage cloth)
Tonight or tomorrow I will start with the rocks I have casted over the past few weeks

All of a sudden everything is starting to look like a "world" again, and it is so much fun  :thumb:

Cool, enjoy and speak again.
Cheers.
