Aloha,
a few years ago I came across an article in a German model train magazine which sparked my interest.
A bit of history, in Germany during the steam era it was normal to have water for the locos on the platform to be filled up for the next trip,
but if coal or later the oil fired locos needed to be refueled then the loco would have to come off the train and be
replaced by a refueled one.
Then they got a great idea and converted a goods coach to a pump coach coupled to a oil tanker which could then be brought
to the station and the express train loco could stop next to this pump car and be refueled.
Weinert, a German model company that produces beautifully detailed brass and white metal parts mostly in HO sells the kit for this
oil tanker.
So I bought the kit.

The detail is stunning.

Tonight I sat down and started.
The two coaches to be modified.
The kit, first the etched brass plate.
Secondly the cast brass parts, decals and some white metal castings.
