The roof is also taking shape very nicely.
I even considered the gutter in the middle.
Two chimneys and sky lights.

On the actual layout I've been busy with working out the catenary mast positions.
I know your are always supposed to start at a point or crossing, but in this case I also
had to consider the station building.
That is the reason why I started in the middle of the station.

Hi all,

it's been very quiet here.  :howzit:
Well bit by bit my layout is progressing.
I've finally finished the platform at the station building. I've also drilled holes and fitted locating pins
to the building so that is stays in the right place.
Otherwise I've been working out the catenary mast positions and in a few cases even hanging the wires
already.
Also the double crossover has received attention and I've changed to a different setup which I think I will
now stick to.
Finally ballasting has also begun in the station.

I am also trying to simulate some moss on areas of the platform
where there is less foot traffic.

Hi all,

a little bit of progress again.
Done quite a bit more ballasting work.
As well as changing the buffer stops.
They are very plasticy and shiny. So I decided to remove the buffers and
the plastic beam and make my own beam from wood.
Before and after.
Installed on layout.

Hi all,

little bits of progress.
More ballasting has been done and I've started with the fence around the parcel loading shed.
Some 1 mm brass rod cut and bent to shape, a few holes drilled into the base and inserted at
more or less even spacing.
First two photos.

Then I applied some fine wire mesh for the fence.

Hi all,

I've made a bit more progress.
Mostly on the loading shed, I added some boxes and barrels to the interior by the sliding door
so that it doesn't look so empty when you look inside.
I also took a six axle Liliput coach, removed the couplers as I don't want to use it in a train due to
bad running, but its great as a static model.Added imitation brake pipes and screw type couplers.
Weathered it a bit as well.
I had also some time ago bought a Preiser box and two cable drums kit. Built this as
well. Was a lot of fun.

Hi all,

my station is nearing completion.  :thumb:
Roof is on and all windows in as well.
Roof slightly weathered with chalks.
Take note of the illuminated desk lamp.
