Good evening all,
spent some time this weekend on my platforms.
Specifically the rear one.
Decided to use some off cuts as its not so visible.

Then I watched a German you tube video with a very interesting idea on weathering
roofs.
The idea is to dry brush black on the tiles from the bottom up to darken the edge of the tiles.
So I tried it.
I did not have my brush dry enough a few times, but I will continue with my attempt
at this signal tower.

Good evening all,
a bit more detail work on the roof.
The afore mentioned video also showed coloring some of the roof tiles in a different shade.
So I gave that a try.
Then I also changed the color of the gutter.
Tomorrow I will give this roof a nice black washing and see how that comes out.

Aloha,
I wanted wooden floors in my signal box.
Local hobby shop didn't have scale planking in stock, but they had 0.8 mm
plywood.
So I bought a piece.
First piece cut to size.

Then I scribed lines into the wood to replicate individual planks.
Then weathering with chalks.

Test fitted in signal box.
