Hi,
spent some time ballasting this week, the big corner is done now and the first part
on the long straight section as well.
Now to clean the track.
So this morning I placed a few more overhead masts.
Also while ballasting I detailed the little section for the signal.
Quite happy how that came out.

Nice, that is looking very cool.

It's the small details that make everything so interesting.

Enjoy, Cheers,
Evert

And rightly so, you can be very happy how that came out. Looks real! :thumb: :thumb: :thumb:

Aloha,
thanks for the positive comments. Tells me that I am on the right track.  :thumb:
No I want some opinions.
As the little wall section that I made for the main signal, I would like to do the same for the distant signal.
Now the question.
Do I make it very short? Photo one.
Or do I make it longer? Photo two.
I could in fact make it quite long, then I don't need a plastered slope with some grass.

Morning JOerg!
That's nice work. - Make it longer. Looks more real, so i'ts nearly the same like the other signal point.

Yeah id go for the longer 1 too. breaks up the scenery a bit and adds some 3d dimensional variation to the scene.

Aloha,
Friday morning update.
Spent the last few evenings spanning overhead wires.
First photo, saw on another forum where the builder used rubber bands
to keep tension on the system while securing the catenary.
Works very well. Will be using this trick going forward.  :thumb:

The outside track on the big curve is completed now and the first few
sections on the long straight are done as well.
This weekend some light grey matt paint to blend everything in.

Aloha,
Sunday update time.
Did a bit of woodwork again this weekend.
Extended the frame work a little bit.
