Hi everybody, the promised update.  :)
Upper staging yard is mostly built, I did find an extra box of track screws and that box is empty now.
Need 3 more pieces of Peco code 100 flex track and some more screws to finish.
Then I will have to spend some time wiring it all up.
This is what it looks like now.

Decided to incorporate a shelf unit into the corner piece. At the same time it serves to secure part of the layout.  :thumb:

Measure and plan as much as you like, sometimes somewhere it will not work out as planned.

While a scale 1:1 loco will have no problem with a M8 threaded rod, I am sure that any HO loco will be stopped dead in its tracks. (pun intended)  :D
Back to the drawing board for me.

Layout facia and track segments being fitted.

Completed shelf unit screwed to the wall, also found a nice place to store my hiking boots now.  >:D

Another view of the upper staging yard, this time from inside the return loop.

Last photo is the new overview that you see as you enter the layout room.

Back to work this week, need to make some money to support my hobbies.  :thumb:

Nice.....  :thumb:

Sjoe, lots of progress Jörg..... Very impressive.
Pitty about the bolt, but I'm sure it can be moved to a different place?

Cheers.

Small update.
M8 threaded rod has been cut off, so no more problems there.
Continued with the facia and also build a frame inside this section to which I can then secure the removable scenery section.
Further track boards have been fitted, heights set correctly with a 2% grade and the cork has been glued down.
This is what it looks like now.

I have discovered that I have miscalculated some of my gradients.  :bluduh:
So what now?
Busy recalculating and looking at options.
I may have to ad a spiral to gain height, did not want to do this as it takes space away from my idea for scenery, but it does ad length to the mainline run which is also not a bad thing.
So stay tuned and see how I work this out. :)

Thanks,
now I must just get some more track screws, I was at Model Railroad in Plumstead on Friday morning, but they where still closed and did not have the time to wait one hour.
So next time.

Awesome work Jörg.

Mmmmm, working from 2 directions and on a incline to get them together can be tricky in any mans book.
I like the idea of an spiral, landscaping wise you can do so much. I have seen some awesome stuff they do with mountains.
You will sort it out quick,  quick, I'm sure.

Looking forward to the next update.

Cheers, Evert
