Hello, Hello,

Awesome job, it is really starting to look good. Soon you can start some bench work and then layout  :thumb:

Cheers.

Hi,
got a bit more work done.
Getting levels on the walls, for drilling lots of holes for the wall plugs.

Then cutting some boards for corner pieces and mounting these to the walls.
Screwed and clamped together in set of three to get them all the same.

Corner section up.

The first hardboard sheet up, :thumb: in this corner I did not do a full 90 degrees, you will see later why.

I'm happy with the result.
Will try and get one more up tomorrow.

Very quiet here, but at least I do have a good reason why I have not posted anything for a while.
Got some more work done.
All corners rounded now, painted, ceiling in, Led down lighters and now the new floor.
All that is now needed are the skirting boards.

Looking good J.

I do think your room is better suited to Normal scale rather than that horribly oversized stuff... :stir: :peep:

I think an On30 layout would look awesome in there. :stir: :stir:

On3, turn of the century loging line, has crossed my mind, but I have to much Märklin stuff so will have to live with it.

Xmas in August for me today.
Just received a parcel from Germany with the turnouts that I need for the first staging yard and because the Märklin turnout solenoids are known to be unreliable I want to try with Servo's.
ESU makes a Servo decoder that can be used with MM, DCC and even analog.
They also supply servo's with all the attachments needed for turnouts. So I just have to give it a try.
So one Servo decoder and four servo's as well as 5 left turnouts arrived.  :thumb:
Will try and make a test build in the next few days and report.

Nice...... That will be awesome. I was also thinking of doing this, but going to be an expensive option for me. Have you started with the bench work already?

Yes this is not a cheap option of switching, but this ESU decoder and four servo's is actually slightly less than a Märklin decoder and four solenoid switches which are known to be unreliable.
No I have not yet started on the bench work, I have just built a couch and still need to do a side board for the lounge.
Want to try and start in October, we'll see.

Okay as I promised, I did a test build on a piece of plywood with a switch and one of these servo's underneath.
Works very nicely, easy to program the stroke and speed.
Will be getting more of these.
