People slam the Roco stuff a lot. But I really do think the Roco MultiMaus/Pro/Z21 systems are actually quite good, and a lot simpler than MOST other systems on the market. And they just get on with the job at hand...
I was very tempted to get the MultiMaus Pro wireless, then the Z21 was announced, and released... been looking at going that route quite seriouosly...
Having said that, I have the ESU ECoS console, and they have now added WiFi connectivity (in addition to normal ethernet connectivity) to their software. A free app is already available for Android devices, and I am busy coding my own version of an android app to control the ECoS. The intention is to use 1 or 2 cheap 10" android tablets as CTC consoles. So they will each have an image of the track plan at that area, and have the ability to manipulate the switches via the ECoS. My android phone is a wireless throttle, and should any friend or visitor want to run a train, he can use his own phone, no need for additional throttles to lie around just in case...
