Hi dear train friends,

I made a wall for the 2 Swiss chalets. The posts are smaller and I decided to put a ball on top of said post and some metal work in between. Something different.

A bit fiddely and I had to contend with the track curve. I also tried spraying with my airbrush the first time. I took a while to get the hang of it and I was forced to spray outside as the fumes were overpowering on the inside.

Going to get an extractor. That should do it.

Hi dear train friends,

Small update. We have this Kombi with a Caravan and no tent. How difficult can it be?

Found some solid copper wire and straighten it, soldered into the aluminium poles and made my own tarpaulin.

See pics below.

Ok, and now placing it. I have a nice big tree near the train tracks and pitched the tent.

Kombi is 4x4...

Looking good. I feel like a picnic now - in the rain...  :thumb:

Good day dear train friends,

Yes, yes, yes, I knew there was going to be something said about the white standard umbrella of the 50's. Even my first tent in 1966 was white, (the one's with the big 3" diameter poles keeping the tent up.) I'm digressing.  :D

White umbrellas are allowed, but here we have a brand new one, and..... it is in colour.  ;)

Hi again,

True the Kombi is not a 4 x 4 and the question was how did they get there.

The rail crossing was designed and built and it is in the process of being installed. This couple just tested it before it will get "nailed/glued" down.

Hope you like it!

Dear train friends,

Thanks for the positive feedback re the rail crossing. It's in and looks good.

The challenge is with contact to the locomotives with the third rail.

The "sleepers" were sand to the minimum. Less than 0.5mm.  That should solve the problem. The glue is setting.  ;)

The second rail crossing at the farm is also in. Close up photos to come. I'm reading up on the operator who has to guard the rail crossing.

But in the meantime a small update with maps set up on forest walks. That was fun assembling/glueing miniature laser models.

The box is huge and out popped a small packet the size of a lion matchbox.

Anyway here the assembly pics.
