Awesome.....
Just a suggestion. I'm not saying it is the way to do it. It is just the way I found to work and look the best.
I did my landscaping, painting, grass, glue first. Then I did the balast last.

I like the two Locos, they are awesome....

That is looking great. Really well done.
Personally I would re-paint the castle. That plastic always look so fake.
