Getting started
« on: December 29, 2014, 12:02:37 PM »
Hi all

Id like to build a loop of track for my son to run some trains on. Doe sanyone have an idea where to get a  good second hand DC power supply from?

Im not sure if it will develop past the loop so I dont want to fork out unnecessary money right now. I have an interest In O scale narrow gauge logging. So would head in that direction if we both enjoy it and would like to build a bigger layout 1 day.

I have more questions, but will ask them at a later stage.

Thanks in advance.
Regards
Wes

Hi Wes,
are you going to get your son started on O scale?
I have a friend who is breaking up a O scale collection so will ask him when I'm back in Cape Town again.
Regards Jorg.

Hi Jorg

That would be great. I build all my dioramas in O scale. So adding some track to them and running trains through them makes sense.

I also love the look of narrow gauge rails. So will head in that direction. Hes only a couple of months old, but your never too young to start this hobbby. ;D ;D
Regards
Wes

I got my first Märklin BR 89 locomotive, 220V shock  :o and blisters on my fingers at the age of 5 (same day  ;D)!

Still remember the day clearly!
