horizontal arrow - so if the signal is at the siding at the black arrow it will work together with that point, correct? Blue Arrow.

You could set it up that if that point is straight then that signal shows proceed. When the point is on turn out then the signal is on stop to prevent a train shunting out of the siding to collide with another train. The signal is always on the right side of the track in the direction that the train is moving at the time. Only in very few cases, marked by a special board, is the signal allowed to be on the other side.

vertical arrow - OK that can change and then I assume the signal will then turn around to face the traffic comming out of the station, going off the layout? And will still work with that point correct? Green Arrows.

No, this is the signal for the incoming trains. You do have space on the right side of the track here.

Cheers, Evert

So, on Monday I received all my farm buildings

Farm House.
Old Ladies Mill, Tripsdrill, In real life this is part of the theme park, but I will use it as a actual Mill for grain that can receive or deliver produce to the Kibri Grain Elevator.
Heyloft from Vollmer.
And a set of Kibri parcade fencing.

Then I also found all the parts for the Vollmer LocoShed I have. I will change this one in a single shed.
All accessories for this is still outstanding and will be collected in due time.

Kibri Signal Tower and Station canopies I also have, but I will build the platforms myself so fit the track.

Here is some pictures  Enjoy.

Last night I made sure that my farm can work and got a quick picture by laying the basis on the layout.
I then worked out the last section of track and I glued down the cork.

Tonight I can start with the track work for this section.
Points have to be modified, painted and feeders soldered in.

Regards, Evert.

Good Morning All.....

I was building Platforms this weekend and got the basic shapes finished last night
So now I can start to finish them off and paint.

I used 40mm Blue Foam and cut it to a thickness of 5mm. I decided to keep the look similar to the platforms that came with the Station Kit.
I then made a template from the track and drew that over to the foam.
I also had to glue all the sections together to make is work.

I test fitted everything and I drew with a pen held against a wagon the path the wagon will follow. This was to make sure that the wagon does not hit the platform. I had to make some minor changes, but most of it was good.

So here is some pictures  :thumb:

Hello All.....

So I have spent quite some time on the Platforms and I'm very happy with my progress and the look.
I searched on the Internet for some stone wall pictures and found this one - Picture 01
I then made strips of 10mm and printed a few. This I glued on the side of the platform.

With a sharp pin I made grooves for the corner stones and painted it all a concrete grey colour - Picture 02
I wasn't very happy with that as it does not look right......  ???

Then I cut some 2mm cardboard strips and glued it on the side. I also made grooves on this to show the sides of the stones.

Then the ends of the platforms was sanded at a angle - Picture 03

To fix the grooves of the stones I mixed some creatstone, but I added loads of water and some woodglue. (the glue is so that the creatstone does not crack and chip off.)
This I painted over the stones and wiped it off with a wet spunge.

So now once it is dry I will paint it again to see the full effect.

So, last night I still painted the Platform grey and added a black wash over that.
It might be slightly to dark, but I like the look of it, so I'm going to leave the colour alone.

Before I paint the final bits, I thought lets testfit it again just to make sure.
I think it will look awesome and none of my locomotives touch the platform, yes, I know it is close, but it works.

So I'm happy now and will finish the painting.
Then I can fit it to the layout  :thumb: can't wait !!!!!

Oh, I also received the Buffer stops, Fleischmann Buffer Stop 6117..... Think they look awesome. Just need to do some painting on the back.

Will post some more pictures once I'm done a bit later.

Good Morning All....

So, I finished the painting and I also painted the Buffer Stop
Here is before and after, the rusty coloured one is the one I painted. Picture 01 and 02.

Then I searched again on the Internet for Platforms in Germany and decided to paint the edge white with a yellow caution line on the inside.
The edge stones I painted a brown-ish colour.

I also glued the platform in place and tested a loco again to make sure.

I really like the look of the platform, I'm very happy.

Regards and hope you all have a awesome week.
