A great idea! Are the perspex tubes bent on the corners or cut and glued?

Cut, then the cut is sanded with 120 grit sandpaper and then with 600 grit waterpaper and soapy water finally sanded smooth.
Then glued with the correct chemical for perspex.

Really looks awesome.....  :thumb:
I like the idea, and you can display them nicely.

I might just try to build those for my n scale too.....

That's real cool.  Keep us updated.

Märklin Loco's are know to be made of metal, so they are a bit heavier than others.
So a good foundation is required!  >:D

Jörg.....I'm quite sure a lot has happened since the last post!
Your plans are quite great! I like your idea for shops under the Mainline Overpass. The 'new' or rather, upgraded, London East Overground line is like that.....it looks great!

.....The area between the Station & Turn - table......'my opinion' - excellent for a nice secluded Diesel Servicing area ....I love them Diesels!

Hi Marius,
thanks for the interest, yes a lot has happened here since my last post. The builders are finished and left me with lots of work to do.
Not to worry, have never been afraid of hard work or getting my hands dirty.
Currently busy with the entertainment room, bar, indoor braai and dining area.
New bar has been built, just need to secure the counter tops and then sand and varnish them.
As far as starting the layout, will still be a bit of time, but am planning to built the one staging yard still this year.  :thumb:

Finally managed to do some work on the layout room.  :thumb:
Extra insulation into the ceiling.
Then the battens to mount the ceiling and conduit for the wiring to the down lighters.
Then starting to get the ceiling in, I like to use Isoboard, great product and easy to work with.

Ceiling is nearly finished, then the cornices and paint.
Considering to round out the room corners with hardboard, will have a look what I can do there.
Will certainly make any backdrop look a lot better.
