Hi all,

been quiet here, but I have done a few things.
Yesterday I completed one of the buildings for the town that I bought recently.
Its the first one on the left in the first photo.
Second photo is an overview of this scene, I think that I will leave it like this.
The building without the roof is the one that I modified to fit into the angle and this will be
completed when the next parcel arrives with the ordered roofing material.
I have also ordered the pavement so then I can complete this row.

Nice Jörg...

That's going to look awesome once the scenery is getting built.
I like the layout of the buildings with the small station in-front and the fountain..... Very, Very cool......

Hi there,
I've done a few small things on the layout.
Busy completing the ballasting of the rear main line. No photos of that.
Also busy with some of the walls at the front of the layout.
Now to decide which type to use.

Yes those are totally different materials.
I'm leaning towards the second option as its so close to the front of the layout
and if some visitors start poking it with their fingers I recon this might be a bit
more durable.

I'm also planning and drawing in the route for the bus in town.
Even found my old school compass and putting it to good use.  :thumb:

Mmmmmmm......

Personally, I really like the actual plaster version as it looks more real that the paper.
Jörg have you tried this before..... https://www.hobbylinc.com/chooch-flexible-random-stone-wall-large-stones-ho-scale-model-railroad-scenery-8254

I used the N Scale version on my layout and it is very nice.

Just my idea, I do not like the paper stuff, sorry, only my opinion  O:-)

Cheers, Evert

Hi Evert,
that does look interesting, but who stocks it here in SA?
Where did you get yours?

Aloha,
I decided to use option 3 which was not even shown further up.  ::)
Vollmer Steinkunst red brick wall.
This material is made of Quarz sand, is semi flexible and quite strong.
Make sure you have a good supply of cutter knife blades when working with this material
as after every single cut the blade is blunt. As in visibly rounded in front.
Edges also tend to break out a bit.
But it does look very realistic.  :thumb:
Now I need to get more as I was planning to use this some where else.
Steps not finished yet, but I think you get the idea.
First photo just placing the full sheet to get an idea.
