Hi everybody,
mid week update, I have completed the wall between the portals. Only needs a layer of flat stones
along the top.

Added some paint tonight.
Now to let that dry nicely and then a black wash and then some highlights.

Hi everybody,
late night update.
Today I spent some time making and installing the push downs for the pantographs.
Five done, one more to go.

Sorry last night for some reason I could not load up any photos.
Now its working again.
I soldered some supports in-between and I also did it on both lines for the simple
reason if I ever have to reverse a train I don't want to end up with damage to pantographs
or the catenary.
One more to do today.

Hi,
did a bit more today.
Completed the last of the push downs for the pantographs.

Then over the weekend I had played with different colours on the tiled floor for the under
house garage.
What do you think?

Now I have a question.
My ballast has been bothering me.
I don't like the brown colour.
On my last visit to MRS I bought some other ballast.
Tonight I did a small section, not glued down yet.
What do you think?
Brown or grey?

Good Morning Yörg,

The tiles for the garage look awesome, it can definitely work  :thumb:

Then your question. I prefer the grey
The reason, the brown is to close to earth and or sand/dirt. That is why I went with grey. It give a nice contrast between the track and the landscape.

Regards,
Evert

My 2c.

To me the ballast looks fine either way, but as Evert pointed out - the contrast of gray over green makes it more visible and thus focus the attention to your tracks more that way.

Good work so far. :thumb:

Hi there,

May I suggest you test a piece with glue. It might go darker. Let us know....  :-\
