Hi Guys,
small update from me.
Got a bee in my bonnet and decided to pour some water into the river.
First photo just after pouring.
Yes it is supposed to be milky.

After 12 hours starting to clear up.

After 36 hours, mmmm, not so good, a bit to thick in that spot and it cracked.  :bluduh:

So what are my options, I don't want to rip it all out again so I think that I will maybe cover it
up with some reeds growing there.

Looks great Jörg.  :thumb: Don.t forget the fine sand! That will cover places that you are not happy with.
Off course the bushes, shrubs, wild grass and reeds grow near the river.
Then some wild birds etc. Old trees stumps on the edges will also look great.
Going to look awesome when finished.

Cheers
Werner

Hi Jörg,

Looks great  :thumb:
Yea, don't rip it all out, that Woordland Scenic water is expensive.

Hide it with some reeds, or make so ripples, it is close to the edge.
Even a fallen tree.
Noch have some awesome river and pond detail. There is lots of options.

Cheers,
Evert

Just bought another 5kg bag of plaster of paris this afternoon and its about half way used up already. >:D
Stay tuned for a update.
When this bag is used up then I will have used 27kg's so far.  :o
Can't quite matched the amounts used at the Mininatur Wunderland as they work in tons.

Hi guys,
the promised update.
Started with the mountain around the castle over the weekend.
First some fine mesh secured with the staple gun and where that could not get in I used the glue gun.
Lots of guns in this post.  ;)
First piece.

Done.

On goes the plaster.

A few kg's later its done.
Now I need to carve the plaster and paint and weather.
Fun times ahead.

Going to make a big mess when I start carving that lot.  >:D

Nice :)

Mmmmmm, I can think and the vacuum will work overtime. Someone will have to vacuum while you carve. Will limit the mess and dust a little bit.
Enjoy and looking forward to see the end product.

Cheers,

Nice one Jörg!  :thumb:
The vacuum cleaner is a great idea. Had to empty the drum twice. :D

Carving has started, of course I went and cut right through on
one spot and had to ad a bit of plaster again.  ::)
Also busy fitting in the castle and a path way to the front gate.
