Hi Evert and friends,

We went to visit Jörg yesterday and found him covered in plaster of paris sanding dust and hard at work. The layout is coming on nicely.

Found the Makita saw in the kitchen, mmmmm...... :D Jörg did say something about the kitchen table top....

Thanks for the nice time Jörg  :thumb:

Spent a bit of time today.
Placing the two houses on this removable lake section.
Also considering the driveways for the cars and then I also want to make a small jetty for the boats, beach and so on.
For now the two houses with driveways.
This is the third position today.
I wait a day or two and if I still like it then I will continue.

While building the removable section I constantly checked for fit, making sure that there would be no
problems.
Well now I have started doing the landscaping with plaster of Paris and guess what, now it doesn't fit anymore.  :bluduh:  >:( ??? :-[
Back to the drawing board.

Planted a bit more grass last night.
Used a new 9V battery in the electrostatic grass applicator.
Battery had 9,72 volts when I took it out off the box.
After the application of the grass, see photo below how small the area is the battery was on 9,15 volts.
This morning  the battery recovered to 9,49 volts.
So one thing is sure to me these grass applicators are heavy on batteries.
Rechargeable batteries might be a good investment or get a 9V power pack and use that.

Aloha,
small update from me.
Spent a bit of time laying track and doing some wood work.
Basically the two corners in the back are done now.
First piece of track board for the upper most line which will be visible right around is also secure now
and the first strips of cork roadbed are being glued down now.
Must still decide on the final position of the tunnel portal.

Busy giving some thought, yes I can think >:D, to the continuation of my backdrop.
Off course using a different one to the one that I have already will always be tricky to get the two
to blend in to each other.
So my idea is to hide the joint behind a mountain.
This is sort of my idea for a mountain shape.

Now I need to figure out which backdrop to use to carry on.
Options from Faller are
180509/510/515/518
Must still look at Vollmer and some other, but I am also open to ideas from you.

Small update from my side.
Actually two updates as I've been busy at two places of my layout.
First of I have spent a bit of time on the last corner of the river in front, I want to have a fisherman sitting on the rock.
So my idea is to have a car standing there and a gravel "tweespoor" leading there, nicely overgrown with long grass.

One photo without the car.

Spent some time on the placement of the tunnel portal.
Glued in some Styrofoam and shaped it with a sharp knife.
I think this is where I will fit the tunnel portal and do all the landscaping around that.

Electric loco to check that the pantographs don't catch anywhere.
