Been a bit quiet here.  ::)
Anyway I have done a few things, have sorted the wiring so far, but did not take any photo's.
There where a few doubts as to the 9mm plywood for the upper staging yard level. Well I have now screwed on a aluminium angle to firm it up a bit.

This angle is perfect to hold the lights for the staging yard. This is intended for maintenance work only.
Led strip lights here we come.

Nice does not shine in my eyes so should be good for any maintenance work in the future.  :thumb:

Oh shiny!  Good work so far.  I like the way you mounted the lights.

Hi all,
last update for the year. Where did this year go???? The older you get the faster time goes.
Make the most of it.
Did a bit of work on the layout in the last week. Basically secured the boards for the second staging yard and with that completed the Led strip as well.
Here are 2 photo's one with the room in total darkness and the other with the room lights on just to show how well the lower staging yard is lit up for any possible maintance work that will need to be done in future.

What's planned for the new year?
Well unfortunately progress will slow down a bit on the layout, I must build a sideboard for the entertainment room as well as a custom sliding door to be able to close off the layout room.
But I will try to build the second staging yard as well.
So stay tuned and lets all have a wonderful and train filled 2016.  :thumb:
Cheers. Jörg.

Sorry no progress on the layout yet, but have completed the first project for the house this year namely the side board.
I know its completely off topic, but here is a picture anyway.

Pine frame and sliding doors with a 32mm black wood top.
Wife is very happy.  :thumb:

Had lots of things to do today on the house, but thought to myself I will do something on the layout as well.  :thumb:
Finally mounted the second level cross section that has been cut months ago and I keep tripping over it.  ::)

Connected to the already existing second level.

While I was at it I made a cardboard template for the other corner section so that can be cut out and I have something to trip over again.  ;D

Hi Joerg!
Very rustic-style and huge hurdles for the trains. Your idea will be a other kind of track stacking as well... :peep:
Without jokes: Not only sideboards are stylish. Go ahead! ;)
