Welcome back, I did notice that you had been very quiet here recently.
Lily says thank you.
She took that with her cell phone btw.

Update time.  :)
Managed to span a few catenary wires, what a tedious job. But I love catenary so it must be done.
First photo sorting out the different length that I have.
Starting to take shape.

Also did the catenary in the tunnel portals, so now I can start
closing up the mountains.

Then I spent some time on the mountain in the right hand corner.
Part of it I made as a farm field as the backdrop is the picture of farm fields.
Going to have a herd of grassing sheep here.

Okay now I want some opinions.
As I want to start closing up part of the mountain I have to consider what I want
incorporate in the valley.
I have a saw mill and a coal mine.
Well I just found that its not a complete coal mine, but more a loading station only.
I could have the actual "Coal Mine" in the mountain out off sight
with just a conveyor belt feed out into the storage and from there into coaches.
Coal mine.

Good Morning Jörg.....

Wow, you were busy....... Awesome work...... I love the catenary..... I want to add more to my layout also.

Awesome landscape in the corner and the sheep in the field will really look awesome.
Mmmmmm, I vote for the SawMill.... that is looking like a interesting model.

Enjoy the day and speak again.
Cheers,
Evert

Aloha,
not much done so far this week, work keeps getting in the way. >:D
Added a spring tensioning system to the short piece of catenary between the portals.
Now I can play the violin on my catenary.

Saw mill.

My choice :lamer:

Been discussing this with my wife, she feels that the saw mill is to big with the castle not far away
in the back ground.
Two big buildings to close together.
I am still undecided, unfortunately the mine is not complete, its really only a loading system with two
conveyers.
When Faller brought these kits out in the seventies I drooled over the photos in the catalogue for hours.
Now I have them and really want to incorporate this somehow.
But it must also look believable.
I will have a long and good think about this.
Comments welcome.

Nice, the catenary  is looking GREAT, I love it.
Have you considered putting lights in the tunnels? Even if there is just a hint, My dad did it and it gives a awesome perspective to the scenery.

Mmmmmmmm, true about the two big buildings together. Then you must try to find some pictures on the net and see how you can make the Coal Mine look believable, I'm sure there must be something.

Cheers,
Evert

Small update for tonight, did some wood work to extend the bench work.
Now I can also better place a board in there so I can try different variations
for this part of the layout.
Will take my time with considering what I'll place here in the end.
