Hi,
everybody prefers my fireplace.
Thanks for the compliment. :)
To compare I have taken some measurements and calculated them up to scale 1:1

Busch fireplace.
O/D                    2140mm
I/D                      1392mm
Height                 522mm
Thickness of wall  374mm

My fireplace.
O/D                     1087mm
I/D                      870mm
Height                 522mm
Thickness of wall  174mm

Interestingly I got the same height.
But over 2 meters is really to big.
So I think I will build of few more of my design.  :thumb:

Been busy with the extra tunnel tube.
Checking placement and clearance with the Big Boy.
Close, but he does clear. :thumb:

The wall.
This is the section that will now be visible.
Tracks have also been painted brown already.

No update for a while now.  :-[
Sorry been busy with a few other things, but I did spend time on my layout
just can't show anything for it.
With the Märklin Digital system you can let a train stop gently at the signal
by changing the digital current for negative dc current.
You can buy a unit for this, but a one per signal it hurts the pocket.
The circuit is quite simple so I built my own many years ago.
This worked very well, Werner saw it in operation and can attest to this.
So now I fitted this to my layout and it does not work anymore.  ???
Instead of slowing down nicely the train accelerates. ::)
Back to the drawing board for me.

Do you have a copy of the circuit design?  Just curious how it works.
