My father recently ran the set and found several problems with the transformer and maybe one of the locos requiring repair work. Please ignore this post until such time as its all up and running.
My father has a really nice old Lionel train set for sale. Complete with two locos which puff smoke with compressed pellets (a 726 and a 2020), plus numerous hopper cars, tenders and Pullmans. Includes a milk refrigerator car with cans. Most of the stuff in its original boxes and there are original instruction booklets. The only downside seems to be the transformer which is Meccano not Lionel. He can't seem to find the original Lionel one.
With this lot he also has an original Dinky Toys full road sign set in its box, plus Dinky Toys petrol pumps, oil bins, robots, phone booth,posters and a set of Dinky Toys railway station people and a set of farmyard animals.
