Good Morning All,

I was working on the layout again this weekend
I decided that I have to figure out something with the town.
I built a tunnel underneath the track and I think it really came out well.

I used 2mm cardboard and cut the stones using a blade. Then it was just painting.
I also built a insert as I fitted lights, this must still be connected.

Then Yesterday I fitted the tunnel and added some rocks to the Station side.
I raised the Town as the idea is to put a building or 2 on the edge of the retainer wall, should look quite nice.

Good Morning All,

Small Update from me today.
I finished painted the rocs and I washed the stone wall with black water

I think it looks awesome, I'm really happy with the way it came out.

Enjoy the pictures and speak again soon.

Good Morning All,

So, this weekend I decided to do the roads.
I drew a basic pattern out on the layout and pasted it out with Maskintape.
Once done I pulled it off and pasted it on a A4 page. That I scanned in and opened it with CorelDraw.

I searched on Google for a cobble stone pattern and then the fun started.
I copied and build the pattern in CorelDarw.

Think it came out great.....

Then to build the edge of the cobbles I cut 2 rows of cobbles (all in CorelDraw) and started to glue it on the edge of the road.

I have also fitted a interior to the tunnel. Downloaded a picture of a concrete wall and glued it in place.
I still have to paint the parts where the white paper is showing and add some grass and finishes.

I'm really happy with the way it came out, really love it.....   :thumb:

Because z is so small, it is easy to get away with a lot. Paper roads can even work in n scale, but once you start with HO, textures becomes a little bit more obvious.

So last night I connected the lights for the tunnel. It is not as bright as the picture show, but I might dim them slightly still.

Enjoy the day and speak again soon.
Cheers,

Good Morning All.....

So I came across some Z Scale Stuff that was for sale and it was at a good price.
I bought some items, Electric Locomotive, and a few items of rolling stock.
I also had to service and fix some stuff for a friend.

So it inspired me to get the Z Layout out and run a bit.
I decided to do some more work on the layout, so I fitted all the gutters and outstanding parts for the station.
I also decided to position the 2 houses I have ad will do just grass and forest around that.
The road that goes from the station underneath the track will be going up the hill and then over the track, so I need a bridge.
I built this from Styrofoam and will finish it off with grey stone.

So here is my progress.....
