Probably the best SAR website out there and there are some good ones.

Work in progress, so keep looking back.
For long you live and high you fly
And smiles you'll give and tears you'll cry
And all you touch and all you see
Is all your life will ever be

Hans, my first memories are of Malmesbury station - we lived on the station!

My dad was a cleaner, fireman, past-fireman and driver on steam. Then diesel and finally suburban till he retired. Most of my family worked for SAS/SAR...

Its a strange but deep love of growing up poor but loving it.

The smell of steam - is there anything like it I wonder?

Let me fall asleep and dream of working an S2 with my dad aged 11 in Epping Industria...

Dear BigEd!
I'm a real railway Enthusiast, with a long history. The Furka Steam Rack Railway (DFB) in Switzerland was one of my biger Projects. But I have to say, I envy your CV!  ;D
Regards
Hans
