Did not know about this N scale, learn something everyday.  :thumb:
Märklin tried lots of scales.
I've seen photo's of S scale prototypes from Märklin.
In the early 70's they brought out a line called Minex, O scale narrow gauge running on centre stud HO track.
This line was a financial failure.

I did see that, but I remember that scale from the catalogues in those days.
