Here are the last two photos of the tender.
The brass section is now glued to the white metal as well as the
brass details parts have been carefully glued to the white metal casting.
Now I have to do the front of the tender, as I don't have the instructions I have to guess a
bit, but I have found a you-tube video also dealing with this tender build.
So I've learned quite a bit there.

Ed, I'm not counting hours.
What I can say is that this is giving me a lot of pleasure.

Goodness Jörg, this is absolutely AWESOME.......
I love it !!!!!! One day when I have the time I will build my D51 Steam Loco also all brass and the idea is to re-make some of the parts so it look much more realistic. Mine is just going to be slightly bigger, it's a Scale 1

Will love to see it in action soon, It's going to be a stunning loco with all the bells and wissels, very well done Jörg  :thumb:

Hi all,

this morning I blasted the front of this loco with aluminium oxide grit to clean it nicely as I want to
try and solder the wind deflectors on this evening.
There were the brass has become all dull is the area that has been blasted.
As well as the insides of the wind deflectors.
