Very lightly scraped some plaster away to recess the manhole covers
level with the road surface.
Now a few more and then some black paint in the hole before I fit them
permanently.  :thumb:

Awesome..... That's the one GREAT thing I love about HO, the amount of detail that can be added and that is available.

So cool
Nice one Jörg..... Love it.  :thumb:

Besides cutting cars roofs off I also did some work on my layout this weekend.
Must say was a very pleasant weekend with a surprise meeting of a few of our members
at Model Railroad Specialist in Plumstead on Saturday.
This weekend I wanted to complete the walls going down to the garage, I tried to cut some wall paper,
but quickly realized that due to the complex curves I will most probably not get it right.
Okay so I decided to make my own natural stone wall by inscribing it myself.
Was quite a tedious job, purposefully not regular as I want it to be a rough natural stone wall.
Now for some paint.

Note that I also lifted the wall a bit to give a layer of stone at the top as well.
Trimmed the base of the house to fit.

Then I built a door frame from styrene for the imaginary roll up garage door.
This will serve another function as well which will be revealed soon.

Hi guys,
small update this evening.
Completed and fitted the garage door frame and added a layer of plaster on top to
close up the entrance.
Once set I carved in the stone work and trimmed the base
of the house to suit.
Now this needs to set and dry out properly then I can start the painting process.

Hi everybody,
tonight I added a first coat of paint to the wall.
Will continue over the weekend with that till I get a nice result.
Then I looked for my street lights, I still have 4 left, but can only find three.  :lamer:
Then on one of them I accidentally ripped out one of the wires.  :bluduh:
But that did not stop me from considering where to place them.
First photo just lying at the place and then the second photo with the holes
drilled and standing loosely.

Looking at the parking lot for the camp site I want to have a border, fence where the cars park.
Loosely placed a piece of Faller fence, don't mind the colour I will change that.
What do you think?
I think that the fence is a bit to high if I compare it to the size of the cars.
Golf 2 and Renault 4.

Or do I make a stone border?
Stone wall?
Any other ideas?

Trying out different parking arrangements for the under house
garage.
One red Mercedes Benz 280SL Pagoda
One cream Porsche 911 Carrera
One blue Mercedes Benz 500SE limo for the family.

After a pleasant day doing various little things on my layout
I also glued down the third house.
The garage is now covered.
This week I will blend the base of the house into the scenery and the
will be grass and other details.
I also managed to find the other street light.  :thumb:
