Did not have much time in the last week, but managed to do a bit.
Planted some trees, these always make a big difference to a scene for me.
Also filled the little puddle with water and a few small stones.
Picture of the little puddle, yes I also think that I need a animal having a drink there.

Hi everybody,
no update for a while, but that does not mean I have not done anything or wasn't planning.
I was not to happy with my river, look at page 17 to see how it was before.
Removed the little stones and started playing around with the colours.
Here I made the centre a bit deeper blue.

That is to blue for a river, looking at photo's of real rivers they seldom are blue, often have green colour.
So played around with water paints wet on wet, never done that before.
This is the result while still wet, hence the shine.

All dry this morning.
There is still a bit of blue.
Let me know what you think.

Yes, that looks very nice, especially the middle (deep) section. It looks very natural,
Nice one!

Question should I place some small stone on the river again like I did previously?
Stones are for the photo only and have not been glued down yet.
What do you think?

Hi Jörg, my suggestion is to put the stones on the sides. With the dark green in the middle with no stones will make the river look deep. The way you mixed the colours and the dark section in the middle is awesome!

Now that is looking very good.
I think if you spread the stones you loose the colour effevt of the water.
The stones at the edge gives it a good effect. Now some water
