Sorry - I don't know that, but you can get to the calendar from the front page - it is also relatively easy to link threads to events in the calendar. (There is a swop meet already noted there)
All is new here, so let me just check if 'normal rights' members can also link events.
Alternatively you can ask BigEd to add events to the calendar for now. With all being very new and not too busy (yet) it can be manually managed for now. Hopefully things will pick up quite nicely though.
