The ph number on their website.
I didn't bother to leave a message.

Actually any other school or community that would welcome such a project?
I believe the rails can be installed outdoors....assume it's some sort of stainless steel.
There's enough track to build a very interesting layout.

A set of O scale radio controlled engines, coaches and track for sale.
There are 47 flex tracks of +/- 900mm each + the (maybe) figure 8 you see on the photos (nearly 50m of track).
There are 3 engines running with their own receivers and LIPO batteries and RC controllers. The soundbox coach plays engine noises and can be loaded with any sounds. There’s a charger and manager for the batteries.
Plus about 50+ people models as those on the platform.
R3000 for the lot.

jerkwater
PRONUNCIATION:
(JUHRK-wah-tuhr)

MEANING:
adjective: Remote, unimportant, or small.

ETYMOLOGY:
In the days of steam trains, locomotives needed frequent refills of water. They made water stops near streams and lakes and hauled water up to the boiler. These trains were called jerkwaters from the jerking of water in buckets. In time they built water tanks along the tracks. Since these stops were in remote, insignificant areas, the towns around there were known as jerkwater towns and eventually the adjective jerkwater came to be applied to anything small, insignificant, backward, inferior, etc. Earliest documented use: 1878.

USAGE:
“C. Affleck plays a failed writer who returns to his jerkwater hometown.”
The Screen; Esquire (New York); Oct 2007.

Layout Design / Re: My new layout design.

The plastic to me looks too plastic/artificial/perfect but the other one looks real authentic.
I'am only judging by the photo - I have very little experience of looking at dioramas and then it may look completely different :)
I frequent the freerails.com forum and the dioramas there are all weathered and rather authentic so pse excuse my biased view.

Hello there South African Model Railway buffs. I will be visiting from Australia during February 2018 & will be in Cape Town after Premier Classe train from Kimberley on Feb 9th & staying CBD until 16th. Are there any model railway clubs/events having exhibits in Cape Town during this 2nd week of February next - would love to visit and say hello if there is chance of doing so.[/b]

Michael Roger Denne
Michael Roger Denne Okay very good - Cape Town Society of Model Engineers is at Campground Road Rondebosch - while Western Province Live Steamers meets as stated at Bertie Genade Street, Parow - right next to Parow Golf Course? I know Rondebosch area quite well from stay in B&B at 90 Sandown Rd back in 1995.

Ok, I see the LNWI does the wifi job.
Will you use your cell phone or a tablet?
My grandson (31/2) may be tablet-wise soon and then I'll give it a try.
But I still need to get the Arduino/bluetooth/software/cell ph app up and running as it'll come in at under R100 + a Lipo battery.
The 2 running at the moment is the standard RC toy kit with an ESC and a 2S Lipo battery 1500mAh that runs just about all day (O scale).
