Good Morning All,
So in June 2019 I bought this Train..... Kato Flying Hamburger 10704 - SVT877
The train was in a perfect running condition and all interior lights, forward and tail lights fittes and working, but the body >:( was really damaged.
Someone tried to glue parts to the roof that according to this model should not even be there.
Then I decided OK, I'll buy it and ten I'll fix it.
So I scraped up my courage and did the fix last night :thumb:
Pictures here is how I received it.

So here we go......
I took a very fine sanding paper 1000P and lightly sanded the roof. Little bit at a time till it was nice and smooth.
Really worked well.
Cleaned the whole body off and then it was time for masking. I used the Tamiya Tape as it is thin and have a really smooth edge.
I have to say, I tried about 3 times to get it perfect.
Next step was spray......
-
So I used the Tamiya TS-17 spray for the roof....
I did a very this initial coat and then I did the final coat to cover it.
-
Left it to dry over night and I have to say, I'm very happy with the result.
Looks 1000 times better
