Been quiet here to long, I have done nothing on my layout all this time.
Dismantling Wolfgang's layout in Rooi Els after I spent six and a half years every weekend
there helping him built it has taken a bigger toll on me than I expected.
I just have no feeling to do anything at the moment.
I will watch a DVD rather than run a few trains. :-[
So on Sunday I ran a train or two, I see the train snaking around?
What. :o
This track was straight. ???

Ai, Ai...... I have the same problem on my bridge. Normal days it is straight but when it is very hot it makes a nice curve  >:(

Spending a few quiet days at home with my wife, I did spend a bit of time
in the layout room as well.
Fixed the track problem.
You can clearly see the overlap.
Trimmed it and refitted the track, nice and straight now, so in winter
I'll most properly will have a big gap there.

Last night I took my smallest Loco out of the display cabinet.
Class ET194 with a short train behind it, had not run for about 15 years
so needs a good service now, but she does run.

Last small update for the year.
My wife is very keen on me completing the lake section with the houses so today
I refitted it and did a bit of work on it.
I have to lower the lakes bottom so I started to shave it with a chisel.
Last photo for the year.

beautiful hobby.

Welcome to the new year. Lets see what this one brings.
Today I spent a bit of time on my lake again, ended up breaking all the plaster out to start
over again.
Then I placed the Perspex sheet, which I bought over a year ago, ::) over it so that I can trace the out line
of the lake.
I did two so now I have to decide which one I like more.
Decisions.
