I love catenary.
This new system, which is a lot more realistic, I must ad seems to be quite a lot of work.
Oh well, a start has been made and seeing that I have to modify the masts and bridge to
make it work this is where I have started.
First two photo's.

The weekend has come and gone, but I managed to spend some nice me time on my layout.  :thumb:
Some more track was laid, the bridge is just about completed and further masts for the catenary have been
fitted.
Now I must order some more wires from Germany, but I could now at least work out what I need instead of
guessing.

Two more pics of my efforts this weekend, last one shows how far the tracks reach now,
I must now complete the backdrop before continuing with that curve.
Backdrops are ordered.
Next job is to do all the wiring up to this point.

Just spent some time cleaning and tiding up the layout and checking this weekends work.
Discovered that I forgot one insulation for a signal, will have to lift some of the track again,  ::)
but rather now than when the layout is done and I try and get the signals to work.
Just as well I had a good look at what I've done.

Jörg you are right, when the ballast is down it becomes tricky when fault finding. :(

Hi everybody,
no work yesterday evening on my layout.
After reading about the passing of Sir Rodger Moore, I sat down put a 007 DVD on and enjoyed that instead.
So as I said in the thread about the latex glue, I have now found it and glued down the ballast in the tunnel
portal.

Once that was done I could glue down the portal frame and short tube.
Due to not being able to clamp the one side I had to resort to some solid brass weights.

Once this had set nicely I could glue on the actual portal and finish the ballasting on
the inside of the tunnel tube.
Next step will be to paint the portal.

The part of layout building nobody really likes, but it is so necessary for the layout
to operate properly later.
Wiring, lots of it.

Good Morning Jörg,

Wow and WOW.......
The tunnel and tunnel portal came out so nice, really awesome.
Then the bridge is just as nice, stunning, really well done  :thumb:

Can't wait to visit again.

Evert
