Awesome to have you work and play here again ....  :thumb:
Awesome little train, love it....

Mmmmmmm, I like lake number 1, think it have a nice cove on the right hand side for a nice house. Can do some awesome detail work there.

Enjoy and speak again soon.
I'm off to Hermanus tomorrow for a week.
Cheers.

Thanks for the heads up Evert, I have changed design 2 to incorporate that cove.
I already have some ideas.  ;)
So today I cut out the lake.

Now I have to cut away quite a lot of the plaster of paris as I made this section
much to high.  ::)
I have to get that Perspex sheet level and slightly below the level of the river. Red arrow.
Then I can start shaping and detailing the lakes bed.

Hi,
spent the last few evenings working on one of the houses to be placed next to the lake.
The original plastic railings where not very nice, broken and skew, so I tried to straighten them
by heating them slightly. Well that did not work so well.  ::)
Cut them off and made new ones from copper wire.
First photo the old ones.
Second photo the new ones taking shape.

All done, now it just needs some paint.
Second photo shows the little mandrill that I made to bend the wire for the end.

Then I started painting the house, get rid of the plastic shine.
Also note that I tried to bring out the cement groves between the bricks a bit.
Must still do a bit on the roof, but I'm quite happy how this house is turning out.
Led lights have also been installed.

Very nicely done  :thumb:
The painting of the walls and roof will really make a big difference.

So I found a bit of time during the week.
Covered the Perspex sheet with some cling wrap so that the plaster does not stick to it.
Placed it into the lake bed and more or less levelled it out.

Mixed up some plaster and poured it in around the edge, I wanted to create a step for the
Perspex sheet to rest on and form a slope into the water.
