How not to convert a Loco to Digital.
« on: May 28, 2017, 05:02:45 PM »
Hi everybody,
this Märklin Loco came to me with a digital decoder already fitted.
Client asked me to connect the cab lights and change the code of the decoder.
I opened it and kind of wished I had not.
This is what greeted me.

Yes those are metal filings. In the gearbox and all around the motor.

I would have closed it up and returned it with a message - good luck!
