« on: November 14, 2019, 10:30:44 AM »
Cape Town – Simon’s Town, AR
This line will not be serviced for the time being after the expected reopening. Conditional on the clarification of the disproportionate claims of PRASA.

Cape Town – Stellenbosch, AR
The popular excursion with the passengers from Cape Town is now discontinued. The reason is disproportionate demands of the PRASA.

George – Mossel Bay, NCCR
Starting in December  2019, if transnet finally puts the signature under the finished papers, the NCCR-line from Mossel Bay to George will be put back into operation.
The tractor will be the GMAM 4135, which was regularly on duty on the track until 1984. The engine was bought by the CRC-group specifically for this route, as various extra trains should also be passed over the Montague Pass to Oudtshoorn.

The story of 4153, Wiki says:
+ 4135 Hired to Rhodesia/Zimbabwe 08/1979 to 02/1981
No. 4135 became (1985) REGM's third no. R14 Joan later renumbered R4 and named Barbara. Currently stored at Hermanstad, Pretoria for the Ceres Railway Company.
No. 4153  BP 7850 / NBL 27787, Private, Ceres Rail Company, Hermanstad - to be moved to Voorbaai for overhaul.

Cape Town – Elgin, CRC
The very popular train usualy runs on Saturdays. In December 2019, according to the timetable, the same train rides are offered on 13 days! Eleven of the trains are almost sold out.

My Executive Coach No 800 is being transferred to Mossel Bay postboned.
The next coach project will be a caboose, the kitchen furnitures comes from a movie production.

CRC goes to India!
In Februray 2020, a movie will be filmed on the Sir Lowry's Pass in which the CRC forms the backtrop in several sequences. The act plays in India.

As a better understanding: The NCCR is operating under CRC!

And what a mess!
Last saturday, the 16th of November, the CRC steamtrain to Elgin had his terminal station in Bellville! Back to the starting point was the command! Why? Incredible primitive brains steel in various places between Bellville an d Eersteriver a total of 300 metre of fiberglass cable. Until Monday morning, no trains of the Metro were circulated on the central and northern network.
Cheers
