Twin coil turnout motors for sale
« on: January 20, 2016, 05:58:55 PM »
Hi guys,

Having spent more time on my back than a prostitute working overtime during fleet week, (not that I have anything against that noble profession), trying to wire turnout motors in place under the layout, I have decided to restore my sanity and toss out all electric turnouts.   I have changed to manual push/pull rods with knobs on the fascia. and DPDT switches routing power to the frogs.

I have around 80 point motors for sale, mostly Gaugemaster PM-1's with accessory switches, but also Gaugemaster PM-2's (without accessory switch), and Peco PL-10's.    All of them have had the pins cut to various lengths depending on the thickness of the table top where they were mounted, but extension pins can easily be soldered on using brass tube.   Wires are pre-soldered to almost all the motors.

Asking R35 per point motor, or R30 each if sold in batches of 10 or more.   Items are available in W(H)ellington.

Cheers,
Steve

Heh heh,

Howzit Steve and Ed. Looooong time.

I know the feeling Steve. It is back breaking work. Unfortunately, I have gone the servo route and am very happy with it. Yes, working under the layout can be a bliksem, but so be it. It keeps certain muscles in my body that think I have forgotten about them on their toes LOL.

You guys keep well and good luck

 :)

Glynn

Thank you, learn something everyday.  :thumb:
I actually thought that you had made a spelling mistake so I was just trying to be clever, but this time it didn't work.
