My Grandfather's Layout
« on: February 16, 2016, 07:23:26 PM »
Good Evening All,

I thought it would be interesting to share these pictures.
This is my Grandfather's N-Scale Layout. He also collected rocks. The pictures was taken at a Hobby Show at Everite here in Brackenfell. The landscaping he did with waste from the asbestos he worked with at Everite.

Sorry about the quality, but we scanned them in from slides.
First picture is my Grandfather (Jannie Jansma) working in his garage in 1973  :thumb: The tunnel entrance is on my layout now.
And the cabin in the middle is also on my layout. I got 2 from him.
The second picture, the blue train (MiniTrix) and the 2x coaches I still have and is still running 100%.

Enjoy.

Unfortunately I can not share my grandfathers or my fathers layout as neither of them ever had a interest in trains. So all I can say is cherish those memories.
