European Railways / Ouch, ICE train vs car

Ice train vs car, we can all imagine who came off second best.
Lady following the instructions of the GPS turned onto the rails.
Couldn't go forward or backward any more and got out.
The ICE train applied emergency brakes 60 meters before the car.
Fortunately the train did not derail.
250 passengers had to wait a while.

Model Train Media / Z scale with some awesome extras.

Z scale is tiny, normally you only see trains running around, but nothing else
can really move.
Well here is a Z scale layout with a car system bus that drives on the roads!
But what's even more awesome is the coach with a video camera. Yes in Z scale.
It's in German, but I think the pictures tell enough of a story.

Looks like it will be happening this year.  :thumb:
11th December at Theo Marais Park Milnerton.
Hope to see some of you there.
For some reason I can't get the flyer to download properly so
can't post it here.
Entrance is now R. 10.00 and a few other new rules and regulations.
Starts at 10:00 Am this time. So come early, but not to early.  :)

Hi everybody,
just found this very interesting video.
Who knew that the US had different gauges on their rail network originally.
They changed 11500 miles of track in only 36 hours.  :eek:

It is with a sad heart that I post this.
We have lost our friend and G scale modeler Hans Beat
to covid 19 on the 3/1/2021
Our condolences to his mother and family both in Switzerland and here in Cape Town.
Rest in Peace my friend.
