Hi Everybody,

I'm Niel from Benoni.  I have 50% shares (my Dad has the other 50%)  of a 7 x 4 meter layout which is predominantly SAR themed.  The layout is DCC and powered via two Digitrax Zephyrs.  All locos are fitted with sound decoders.  I've mainly used Loksound decoders as I can load my own custom sound projects into the decoders.

My main fields of interest revolve around electronics and DCC and sound but I do branch out into other stuff  like building kits, when I get a chance between other stuff.

Welcome Niel, 7x4 meters sounds like a good sized layout.  :thumb:

Thanks!  Yeah its not a bad sized layout.  We can comfortably run several trains at the same time but we normally only run one train each at a time.  That way you can concentrate on what you doing.

I must say I'm amazed by the number of East Rand members on here. I have a couple of friends (brothers in fact) in Benoni too. The one has a huge double tracked layout and the other is building a medium sized triple layout.
