So Wesley has reminded me of these old wood and brass kits I have. I located a few very old Ration British kits at various places. The kits contain shaped wood parts, and some brass bits, and instructions to assemble a goods wagon. the kits does not contain underframes, wheels or couplers.
Currently I have the following kits:
1) Great Western Cattle Van - yes I know it is supposed to have chain link tension couplings, but I had to use what I had, it was this, kadee or lima type couplings...

2) Great Western Bloater (Fish reefer wagon)

3) Great Western 20T Toad (Brake Van) - I have this kit #889 in wood, and a 40 years later version of the exact same kit, in plastic #569...

4) S.R. 20T brake van

I really love these wood kits!
