Title: Hedges
Post by: capeklr on January 21, 2018, 06:57:16 PM
Hi all,
as the topic heading states I am thinking about some hedges on
my layout.
Has anybody ever made any?
If yes, how did you make them and what did you use?
I know they can be bought, but I'm sure that a person could custom make them
as well.
Any ideas?

May I suggest to view YouTube clips of cab rides in Switzerland. It is amazing what ideas can be placed on a layout.
Even for Switzerland the hedges etc. are not always perfect.

Cheers

Hedges like the UK styles?

I saw a way to do it using kitchen scourer pads (like scotch brite or such) cut into strips, then dipped in cold glue water mix, then dipped in fine ballast/stones to simulate stone hedges and scatter material to simulate flora type hedge. Makes sense?

Just a quick look at Youtube I saw these. Not all usable to me, but still...

Thanks Ed, don't know why I didn't think of looking for Luke Towan on you tube. ::)
